Why this matters to me ;0)
Hello!I am the Marion County LIVESTRONG ArmyLeader and a Global LIVESTRONG Delegate. I am also an alumni of MTC and Franklin University. I went through cancertreatment a couple of years after my graduation at MTC and struggled tocomplete classes at Franklin University whilereceiving home health care in bed. Thank goodness for prayers and my laptop! Idid eventually graduate with a bachelors in Business and marketing. I am stillfighting to get back to normal and in the process have a great desire to giveback to the community that supported me through my families very rough time. Itis still an uphill journey, but the battle was won. In the process of mytreatment we always had to watch my blood count, which often fell far belowanything acceptable and withoutblood donors, I would have died. I was given about12 units of blood throughouttreatment, which saved my life. This is why it is so important to me to have asuccessful blood drive and to reach outto others affected by cancer to empower their journey and help them get thebest resources available so they can make the best decisions for them and theirsituation. I hope you will join the community in reaching out to our cancer community. If you would like toset up a booth, that would be great. If you could at least put up flyers, wonderful! If you could donate time, items or monetary help, we reallyappreciate it.
